Team Conduct

1. All members must be in good academic standing with the University.

2. Each performing member will attend every team practice and performance event. Being a student is a priority, but you must also keep in mind the commitment you made to this team. Practices will take place on every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday as well as Wednesday during showcase anytime between 7:00 pm- 11:00 pm. Please be aware of cancellations and time changes as the board does not control the reservation system.

3. General members are encouraged to attend all practices to stretch and learn the routine. This will provide the opportunity to become a performing member during the semester.

4. Members will be asked to turn in their schedules for the semester. Please remember to add SI sessions, work, and other activities but keep in mind the commitment you have made to this team.

5. ALL team members must attend all performances regardless of whether or not you are performing, unless you have a class during that time or have been previously excused.

6. Tasteful make-up is encouraged for all games, performances and events. You MUST be in the proper outfit with hair done and ready. For example, you must have a pair of plain black jazz pants (NO holes, NO colors on the waist band). If you cannot do your hair you MUST be early to have this completed.

7. No visitors are allowed during practice.

8. Please be polite with the usage of cellphones during practices. Please ensure that devices are on silent.

9. All members, performing and general, are expected to participate in half of the team fundraisers each semester. Part of the money raised will go into our personal account, to help pay for various items.

10. Each semester members will be asked to contribute $15 in dues to help offset the cost of costumes and team-related activities. Other costs for poms and uniforms will be necessary.

11. A demerit system will be put into place this year.
1. Performing members: should you miss two consecutive practices unexcused, you will not be able to perform for that event; however, you must attend the performance. If this happens twice you will be demoted to general member status.
2. Tardiness is not acceptable, please be ON TIME, if you are running late because of an emergency; please CALL the Vice President. It will NOT be acceptable to text ten minutes before practice saying you are running late. This should be used in emergency situations ONLY.
3. More than two unexcused absences will result in being demoted to general member status. Excused absences include but are not limited to classes, SI sessions, work and meetings.
4. If you do not come dressed in the appropriate outfit to a performance you will not perform. If this happens twice you will be demoted to general member status.
